Nick didn’t actually start working on Synergy until 2007; the app was written in 2001 by Chris Schoeneman. Back in 2001, Nick had other things going on. Some of the first code he wrote was in high school. Way before “phishing” was well known, he thought it’d be fun to see if he could get his hands on people's Hotmail passwords (purely out of curiosity, just to see if it could be done)…
